This was going to be my first letter. I never got round to it. But how bloody annoying.
I wanted to get something from Habitat, so parked in the car park at the O2 centre - as there is NOWHERE else to park round there now. You take a ticket, you park up.
However, Habitat didn't have the thing I was looking for, so I popped over to Homebase and they didn't have it either.
But then I need to get my parking ticket 'validated' whatever that means. So APPARENTLY, just to park in the O2 carpark will cost me £5.00. FIVE POUNDS, for a 15 minute visit to shops that don't have what I need. I'm no paying that!
So I go to the supermarket to try to get it stamped, but am told I have to spend a minimum of £10 to qualify. I don't ACTUALLY need anything from the supermarket, which is annoying, and to try and spend £10 when you are in a hurry to get to another Habitat that MAY have what you are looking for, is not easy.
BUT .. there's more ...
If I do spend the £10 I STILL have to spend £2.50 to park.I think this is OUTRAGEOUS! I ended up parting with £5, but I tell you what, they won't be getting my business again, that's for sure. That is a bloody liberty.
Penalised for not spending money, but still having to pay if I do!!!
